In celebration of the ground-breaking release of Shunyamurti’s recent book, Gems of Wisdom: Coming Full Circle: The Secret of the Singularity, the Sat Yoga Sangha hosted a 12-week Members Book Group facilitated by Radha Ma, the Director of the Gyana Department at the ashram, which was streamed live via Zoom for our online community. Lorna, one of our longtime Pragyani Members, made the leap of faith to join us in person for a stay here at the ashram, and was able to participate live for the final class, where she offered this beautiful recapitulation of the essays and book group teachings.

The Equation of Relativity: What seems at first a complicated scientific chapter, brings one to the same point that Shunyamurti repeats in his teachings: It is all simple. And last night, in the videos that the sangha viewed *, the scientist states that “we live in a Simple Universe.” Yet, it is clear that the structure of the ego has devolved to a degree that the idea of simplicity is too simple. The ego is too neurotic, too deluded, too nuts and too dumb to go for the simplicity of our true nature. Stuck in its own Monkey Traps, it won’t let go of the damn nut of a monkey mind. It is too scared of The Wind of Spirit. It tries to bargain with God to keep its misery going and then pleads Miserere Mei Deus in the
hopes of redemption. It’s playlist is melancholic, sentimental and boring. It has become too dumb to get out of hell and would rather commit suicide than take the escape route to God. It is too attached to the matrix and everything appearing in it to quit its middle manager job, get out of the suburbs and make its way to the cocoon of transfiguration so it can emerge as a warrior angel butterfly. It is terrified of the Kundalini map and of Radha Ma and makes climbing Jacob’s Ladder seem more terrifying than the end of Kali Yuga.
But thankfully, by the Grace of God, Sat Yoga is playing the Redemption Song on all the channels, YouTube, Rumble, etc. May we all follow the logic of worlds by first Becoming an Adult, alone, pick in hand in the dark shaft of the ego dungeon, while you Check Your Pride towards God so we can understand How to Live in Good Faith and find The Great Escape from Hell.
